GDPR fines coming by end of year

IT News reports the European Union’s European Data Protection Supervisor has announced that the first fines for violations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) are coming this year. Although the GDPR came into law in May, much about the way penalties and fines will be issued in practice, and who will be targeted, is still unknown. The issuing of the fines should therefore inform expectations organisations and business have about the enforcement of the GDPR.
